Reflect.
Are you like me? Do you start out every year super motivated to meet your all personal and professional goals only to watch your dream fizzle out by May? I can say without a doubt that I am the queen of starting a project and failing to finish it. After some time of reflection, I noticed that I usually only meet a few of my goals that I outline for myself each year. Most often, it is due to lack of motivation. Other times, it was due to poor time management and lack of productivity. I will break that cycle in 2019. There are 24 whole hours in a day. There is no reason that I can’t pursue my passions and achieve my dreams.
Reset.
Consistency and courage are the two words that I am choosing as my motivation for productivity this year. I am making a commitment to myself to follow through on EVERYTHING that I say I am going to do. I’m even taking the time to put it in black and white so that means it HAS to happen, right? All jokes aside, I know that it will take consistency and courage to hold myself accountable getting things done.
Ready, Set, Goals.
Here are the 8 goals that I WILL be achieving this year. #SpeakingItIntoExistence
- Personal goal: I will build an electronic portfolio for interior design styling. I love home decor and interior design. I would like to do it more seriously as a side hustle.
- Professional goal: I will create an e-book for nursing students to purchase on Amazon.
- Financial goal: I will save money to use toward the purchase of a new(er) car in CASH! I would also like to eliminate my student loan debt.
- Spiritual goal: I will read the Bible daily and improve my prayer life.
- Marriage goal: I will spend more quality time with my husband without the distraction of electronic devices.
- Health & Wellness goal: I will exercise more, drink more water, and eat more greens. I will maintain control my emotional well-being by not allowing people to feed me their drama, worrying about things that I prayed about (faith & fear cannot co-exist) and trying my best to not get anxious when flying. (Even though your girl loves to travel, her anxiety level is on 100 when up in the clouds.)
- Travel goal: I would like to visit the Pacific Northwest this year- specifically Seattle, Washington or Portland, Oregon. I would like to go somewhere tropical as well.
- Blogging goal: I will commit to publishing a post on Wednesdays throughout 2019. I love writing. I want to do it a lot more this year.
