My friend Addie must eat Lucky Charms for breakfast because she’s one lucky girl when it comes to winning fabulous giveaways. Addie’s most recent score was an all expenses paid trip to Waco, Texas. The giveaway included an overnight stay at the beautiful Morrow House amongst a slew of other things. I was so happy when she invited me and a few other friends to tag along. We had a blast exploring the small town of Waco. The Morrow House was a great starting point for our adventure.
It was love at first sight.
I am such a huge fan of unique architecture. The Morrow House did not disappoint. I was in complete awe of the space as soon as I walked through the door. My eyes were immediately drawn to the the intricacies of the home.
The Darling Details.
The home’s design aesthetic is a mostly farmhouse chic. However, the furnishings in the home are a mix of contemporary and industrial pieces. There is shiplap in the entryway of the home reminiscent of a Fixer Upper style home. This makes sense because Waco is the home of Chip and Jo, the reigning king and queen of shiplapping everything!
Did you know?
The unrenovated version of this home once appeared on an episode of the popular HGTV show. The couple on the show did not select this property though. We watched that episode while visiting the space to see the home’s humble beginnings. It was basically a shell of what it is today. The contractors and design team for the Morrow House did an amazing job with the overhaul.
The living room features a beautiful crystal chandelier. I would love to have it for the entryway of my home. It’s so grand and definitely a showstopper in the room. I couldn’t stop staring at it.
My favorite space in the home was the gorgeous eat in kitchen. I’m a sucker for a crisp white kitchen! It’s so aesthetically pleasing. We spent most of our time hanging out in the kitchen during our stay.
After walking through the first 3 rooms, I knew I had to capture this home’s beauty on my camera before the sun set for the evening. Take a look inside the Morrow House.
