What does one wear to the city that never sleeps during the coldest months of the year? Layers…lots and lots of layers. Here are a couple of outfits I donned during our recent trip to NYC in December. Of course, these are just the bottom layers. All outfits were topped off with gloves, earmuffs, a hat, scarf, and a coat to keep warm. It was in the 40s during the day and 20s through 30s in the evening so I had to put my figure out a way to stay true to my inner fashionista without sacrificing warmth so I could enjoy our holiday getaway.

My husband was convinced that I couldn’t be a fashionista and be warm but I proved him wrong. I was cute even though I looked like I was smuggling the Michelin Man in my pea coat. What do you guys think?
