I have always considered Labor Day the official end of summer. I chose Labor Day because it’s usually the last time that we will take any form of vacation for a few months before the holiday season gears up. Also I finally get to return to work for the Fall semester (one of the many perks of being a nursing professor). This year I am sending summer off with a bang.
As a last hurrah for Summer 2013, my hubby and I decided to attend MegaFest, a huge Christian festival that features concerts, a women, men, and youth conference, a comedy show, a film festival, empowerment seminars and much much more! I am super excited not only for the entertainment but I love the Woman Thou Art Loosed conference. This will be my 3rd year attending Woman Thou Art Loosed. Where else can you worship the Lord with thousands of women from different walks of life, nationalities, ethnicities, etc in one place? It’s such an spiritually edifying experience. I have a feeling that this year is going to be amazing!!
The event is hosted by Bishop T.D. Jakes and the Potter’s House. It will be taking place in Dallas, TX this week so please forgive me if I am M.I.A here for a few days. I promise that I will have some good things for you when I return. My love and I have a few dates for our ABC Date Night Challenge planned for this week as well so be on the lookout for those 🙂
I have a feeling we will need a vacation after this mini vacation but it will be worth the exhaustion. I can’t wait to share all of the awesomeness from our trip with all of you!
