We’ve all had moments in our lives when we might not feel like we are “good enough”. I know for a fact that this feeling is derived from comparing ourselves to others. Comparing your appearance, marriage, relationship, current job, financial status, or anything else in your life to another can take an emotional toll on you. I used to be guilty of doing this. I have learned that I can’t compare myself to others because God created us all differently for a reason. It would be crazy for me to try to be someone I am not. In simple terms why should a banana try to be an orange? There maybe someone out there struggling with the feeling of not good enough. I wanted to share a video from one of my favorite YouTubers, Patricia Bright, on how to overcome the feeling of mediocrity in our lives.

My favorite tidbit from Patricia’s video is comparison is the thief of joy. Don’t give away your joy. Live your life to the fullest. You are more than enough!!
Happy Monday everyone 🙂
I get that felling of not good enough from time to time. It does indeed come from comparing ourselves with a benchmark that isn’t ours. Thanks for this fantastic video!
I spent my entire teenage years hating myself because i was comparing myself to everybody else. I wasn’t skinny like them, I didn’t have the money they had, Even my hair. It wasn’t until i met my husband that i started to feel good about myself and it wasn’t until i found God that i started to LOVE myself. God has given me peace and joy within myself and my husband lets me know every day how beautiful i am to him. Now i see myself as beautiful, I wish i had learned years ago to love myself
How awesome! God is so good! It seems you have hit the jackpot with your spouse. Treasure him. We all know good men are out there but they are few and far between. I treasure my husband as well. He treats me like a queen 🙂
