Tis the season of the holiday party! I don’t know about you but I am super excited. I have always loved this time of year. One of the many reasons I love the holiday season is due to the parties and different events we get invited to. If you know me, you know I love any reason to get glamorous! Even though I love dressing up, sometimes it can be a headache trying to figure out what to wear if there is not a specific dress code given by the host/hostess of the event. My husband always says less is more but I tend to disagree. I rather be overdressed than underdressed any day.
Fortunately I haven’t been underdressed for a social gathering in a while because I usually come up with 2 outfit options for any event I am attending. One I call my chic and comfy look for casual get togethers and the other I call my wow factor look for more dressy events.
One of the first parties of this holiday season I would love to attend for this holiday season is a friendsgiving dinner. Friendsgiving is a gathering of friends for a Thanksgiving meal. It usually takes place before or on Thanksgiving. There is not usually a dress code in place so I usually decide on my outfit based on the venue. If the dinner is taking place at a friend’s home I may choose to lean toward the chic and comfy outfit. If it is taking place in a nice restaurant, I may choose to wear the wow factor outfit. Here are two looks I put together as inspiration for this type of event.
LOVING the Laid Back Gathering outfit!
Thanks! That’s the one I would probably wear. It’s more comfy so I wouldn’t feel guilty about a little overindulging ;).
