I came across this beautiful scene near a resort on Ko’Olina Beach hours before our flight back home from Hawaii. It was stunning and I just had to take a photo here. Between a mean security guard trying to keep us from parking on the property, loads of restricted access signs, and the limited amount of time we had to shoot I didn’t think we were going to be able to make it happen. Luckily another security guard was nice enough to allow us to park our rental car at the security gate and sneak over to take a few pictures after my husband told him how much it would mean to me. Did I mention how much I love that guy? Pictured above is my favorite shot from the shoot. It reminds me that you can take the girl out of the country to an island but you can never really take the country out of the girl.
Apparently you can’t take the inner diva out of a woman either. She will just come out unexpectedly on the way back to the car.
Have you ever jumped through hoops just to capture a photo? What’s the craziest place you have taken a photo? Let’s chat about it!
Britt, I LOVE that shot. Totally worth the trouble 🙂 I didn’t have to jump through hoops but one time I did need to stop traffic for a quick second so that I could get my picture taken laying in the middle of Lombard St. in San Francisco!

Thanks! Girl you are brave and a little bit cray! That street is scary with all those twists and turns.
I was at the beach when I saw a lady on a hammock strung between two coconut trees. I wanted a shot of me in that hammock and asked her if she minded taking a photo of me in her hammock and she obliged!
Thats so cool! I tried laying in a hammock in Mexico but I was too uncoordinated to get comfortable and kept swinging in the net every time the wind blew LOL!
