Can I get a refund please?!

Let me start off by saying that I am truly grateful to God for blessing me with a job. I know that many people are out of work, new college graduates are having trouble finding decent paying jobs, and some people have had to take on multiple jobs just to make ends meet so I don’t take the blessing of having quality employment lightly.

But I must say even though I am grateful for my job, it doesn’t help the fact that I get so disheartened every 2 weeks when I note how much of a cut the government gets from my paycheck!! It’s truly appalling to see that the government takes $900 every 2 weeks from my check for things that I will probably never even get to use like Social Security & Medicare! There has been talk in times past and present about the government cutting these programs in the future before I even get a chance to get old enough to use them. Do you know all the things I could do with that $1800 a month???

What I want to know is this: if the government cuts these programs will I get a refund for all this money I have paid into it?!! That’s only right in my opinion. If we can’t utilize the service that we have been forced to pay into then we should be entitled to get our money back! I’m sure many of you out there will agree! I will stand in that line for days if necessary to get what is rightfully owed back to me.

And another thing: I think its unfair that people without dependents take a bigger hit as far as taxes are concerned. I talked to one of my coworkers who makes the same salary and the government never takes as much out of her check because she has children! So after learning that I am now taking applications:
