Tribal.

Before I headed to Mexico, I started my long-awaited transition to dresses! I can already tell you, I am loving it. I plan to be more diligent about showing you guys how I style my wardrobe. I’m not a “style” blogger but I think I have the ability to make things work.

On my first day in Mexico I wanted to wear something tribal inspired. For whatever reason, I immediately think of tribes when I think of Mexico. The tropical background made this dress really stand out. I was such an inexpensive find on my hunt (a mere $12 from Ross) but it may be one of my favorites.

I paired the dress with a quill bib necklace from BaubleBar and some simple gold hoops from Charming Charlie. I also broke up the pattern with a gold-plated belt from eBay. And to top it off I wore some black and gold thong sandals from Fergie that I purchased at DSW.  A very simple outfit for our first day in paradise. The most exciting part about this dress is that I did not have to get it altered! Usually maxi dresses swallow me and I have to take about 5 inches off the bottom to keep from tripping and falling.

How would you rock this dress? Do you like tribal inspired patterns? Let’s chat about it!
