The Statue of Liberty is an All- American attraction that I believe everyone should visit at least once especially if you love history. I must say preparing for the trip over to the monument was like going through security at the airport only on a level 10. I felt like we almost had to strip naked before going through the metal detectors. It was intense! Fortunately, having the chance to visit the Statue of Liberty was worth the hassle. The weather was cold and dreary but that did not take away from the enjoyment of the boat ride with a sea of tourists and the beautiful views of New York and New Jersey from the site. We stayed at the site for a while before the weather started getting a little cray so we decided it was time to hop on the ferry and head back to Battery Park. By the time we exited the boat it was being tossed to and fro from the choppy waves and most of the passengers including myself had to jump from the exit ramp on to the pier! Overall, it was a great experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I’m down for any reason to get on a boat.

Have you ever visited the Statue of Liberty? Would you like to visit? Let me know in the comments below!

Stay Inspired,

NYC truly one of my favorite places in the world. It has been a little while since I have been able to visit, so I love seeing all of these pictures 🙂
