Moving Pains

Woo sah! I can now breathe a big sigh of relief as we have finally moved to our new assignment location outside Houston, Texas! We found out that we would be relocating to the Houston area a mere 2 weeks before my husband needed to start his new position. Can you say stressed out?! We had to pack our house, drive back and forth to Houston to meet with a realtor to find a residence (which we finally finalized as we were packing the U-Haul to move), track down a moving company to unload our belongings, turn utilities off, turn utilities on, and the list goes on. A lot of prayers were said during this process. At one point, I thought we were going to be hotel dwellers because several of the locations we applied to and were accepted fell through. But God definitely showed up right on time.

Now we are all moved in and my internet service is now in action so I can get back to blogging! Thank the Lord because I was about to go a little stir crazy in this house without my beloved internet. There is still a lot of unpacking left to do but I can say things are starting to return to a state of normalcy.

Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers.  We are excited to embark on another journey here in Texas. It appears that this state is not ready to release us from its stronghold. If anyone has lived in Houston or currently lives here, I would love to hear your recommendations on things to do, places to eat, event to attend, etc.

Have you ever experienced a stressful relocation? If you could live anywhere in the US where would it be? Let’s chat about it.
