It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas here in the Carson home. I just love this time of year (as I am sure I have mentioned upward of 10 times LOL)! Anyway I just wanted to share some photos with you all of our holiday decor. Hope you enjoy!

Lets start in the kitchen. One of my favorite things to do is create fabulous tablescapes. I could probably create one based on anything. As I get older my decorating abilities keep getting better and better (in my opinion anyway). Here I have taken a decorated wreath I found at a local department store and turned it into the centerpiece of my table in the breakfast nook. To spice it up I added pillar candles in various sizes. Voila! I have a tablescape fit for a winter wonderland.

My hubby also wanted to get in on the action so he had free reign over our fireplace mantle. Here is what he came up with:

I thought it was very cute how he used the stocking hangers in such an unconventional way. He has a little creativity πŸ˜‰

Now lets move on to the bedroom. I have a little reading nook that I wanted to give a festive touch too. So I created an ornament reading light using unused Christmas ornaments from years past, a large vase, and battery operated LED lights. I tried to get a picture of it lit up but the camera didn’t do it any justice.

And now for the piece de resistance! My lovely Christmas tree! I am really in love with my tree this year. I love how silver and gold really made it pop.

It’s so glittery and a little over the top like me but I think its stunning! Do you agree? Here are a few pictures of my favorite ornaments.

World ornament

A globe for our love of traveling!

fish

A fish for my grandmother’s favorite past time and to symbolize our love for the ocean!

music notes

My entire family loves music so I decided to add music notes to our tree. P.S. My mom has an international internet radio station. If you love music you should check it out. Here is the link!

And last but not least an ornament we picked up during our 5th anniversary trip this year in Las Vegas, NV.

So have you already decorated your home for the holidays? I would love to see your pictures! Leave a link to your blog post below so I can check it out πŸ™‚

Until next post,

Brittany
