Smoked salmon is the perfect appetizer for cocktail parties, bridal showers, and your Valentine’s Day celebration! To make this popular appetizer festive for Valentine’s Day, you simply use a heart-shaped cookie cutter!  Voila, you will have a delicious Valentine’s Day inspired smoked salmon appetizer ready in minutes.

Heart Shaped Smoked Salmon Appetizer (serves 8-12)

Ingredients

* ½ Cup light cream cheese

* 8-12 Slices Rye bread

* 1 package of smoked salmon

* Fresh dill

* 2 Small heart-shaped cookie cutters

Step 1: Lay rye bread flat on a cutting board and press down two heart cookie cutters side by side. You can also use pumpernickel bread. Trader Joe’s has small square pieces of pumpernickel and rye, which makes the process a little easier.

Step 2: Remove excess bread and place to the side. Do this for the next 7-11 slices.
