Dress with Finesse

Today was a busy day for me. First, I drove into the city to meet up with my colleagues.  They were sweet enough to take me out for a farewell lunch now that the Spring semester is over. We had a blast. I am truly going to miss them!
It is also my darling husband’s birthday. After lunch, I ran a few errands. I had to purchase a new pair of glasses (long story) and then gather a few things for my husband’s birthday. I wanted to look cute for both celebrations since they were within hours of each other and I knew I wouldn’t have time to change. Luckily this cute dress was worthy of both celebrations. I purchased this dress last summer and it’s still one of my favorites.  For this evening, I added my new navy blue leather jacket to edge it up.image

For my husband’s birthday, I sent him on a scavenger hunt to collect money from around the house based on clues. He had fun and it was much more enjoyable than just giving him a card with money. Then I tortured sang  him my rendition of the happy birthday song before breaking out his mini birthday cake. After that fun we went to dinner at the Double Horn Brewing Co. They have really good food! Now we are headed home to enjoy a slice of cake and a nightcap.
