5 Tips to deal with Loneliness

I can’t believe Valentine’s Day is tomorrow! This year seems like it has been stuck on fast forward. For some reason Valentine’s Day always evokes different emotions from people. For some people this holiday comes with lots of expectations! It’s a day that relationships are put to the test and tangible gifts are put on display. Then there are those who hate Valentine’s Day with a passion because it’s a reminder of the fact that they don’t have that special someone in their life to share it with. I know a lot of single women and men who get down in the dumps on Feb 14th due to loneliness. I always encourage them to turn Feb 14th into the day that they love on themselves. Treat yourself to a spa day, buy yourself some flowers, get your hair and nails done, take yourself out to eat, go see that movie you have been wanting to see, etc. Loneliness is something that we all experience with at some point in our lives but it doesn’t have to dictate our lives. This video by Patricia Bright  gives a few great tips on how to deal with the feeling of loneliness.

No matter what you’re relationship status is this Valentine’s Day, remember to take the time to love yourself. Also remember that Jesus loves you and I do too 🙂
